Genetic Testing Consultant to Apixmed Prism

Apixmed is a Ukrainian company in the field of personalized medicine that develops Apixmed Prism, a service for genetic testing and the interpretation of genetic data. Using scientific models and proprietary algorithms, we transform genetic data into structured information about a person's individual characteristics. We are building an innovative field at the intersection of genetics, technology, and a personalized approach to health. We are currently forming our consulting practice and are looking for specialists who will help clients understand their Apixmed Prism results, work through their questions, and assess the practical significance of the information they receive.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct remote consultations for Apixmed Prism clients.
  • Help the client understand the structure and content of the genetic report.
  • Work through the client's request and answer their questions.
  • Explain genetic information, accurately conveying its probabilistic nature and the limits of interpretation.
  • Explain the practical significance of the Apixmed Prism genetic test results.

Candidate requirements

  • Professional education or training in a field related to health, nutrition, physical activity, biology, genetics, genomics, or other adjacent areas.
  • An understanding of the basic principles of genetics and a willingness to work with probabilistic information.
  • The ability to explain genetic testing results correctly: to distinguish a genetic predisposition from an actual condition, to understand the limits of genetic predictions, and to avoid drawing categorical conclusions from a single indicator.
  • The ability to work with scientific information.
  • The ability to build a consultation around the client's request.
  • The ability to work within the limits of your own professional competence and to involve another specialist when necessary.
  • A willingness to deepen your knowledge of genetics and genomics.

Additional competencies

  • Experience working with genetic data, genetic counseling, or interpreting the results of genetic studies is a plus.
  • Experience with genomics, omics data, or adjacent biological fields is an advantage.
  • Experience providing individual consultations to clients.
  • Experience in nutrition science, wellness and health coaching, fitness, sports, or other adjacent fields is an advantage.
  • English at a level sufficient for working with scientific sources.

Prior experience specifically with genetic tests is not mandatory. The Apixmed Prism methodology, the report structure, and the consultation protocol will be provided during training.

  • Flexible schedule.
  • Training and preparation for working with the Apixmed Prism genetic report and the consultation protocol.
  • Apixmed provides the necessary working materials and the consultation protocol.

  • 30 000 UAH + bonuses.
