What is the Apixmed Prism DNA test?

The Prisma genetic test is a personalized DNA analysis focused on one specific health area. There are 11 such tests in total — each covers a separate area, you choose the one that meets your request, or several at once. All selected tests are analyzed from a single DNA sample: you submit the sample once, the results are available in your personal Apixmed Prism account.

Genetic data is stable throughout life. Based on the same DNA sample, you can order analysis with any other Apixmed Prism genetic DNA test at any time without re-sampling.

Apixmed Prism genetic tests to choose from

Vitamins and minerals

Genetic features of the absorption and metabolism of vitamins and minerals: water-soluble vitamins B and C, fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K, minerals and trace elements. How the body absorbs, transports and converts key nutrients into active forms - and where in this chain there may be genetically determined features.

Blood Biomarkers

Genetic features of the metabolic profile: cell sensitivity to insulin, lipid metabolism regulation, the body's inflammatory response intensity, hormonal regulation of metabolism, and genetically determined factors that influence blood markers.

Amino acids and fatty acids

Genetic features of protein and fat metabolism: amino acids associated with energy resources, recovery and functioning of the nervous system, and fatty acids — in particular Omega-3 and Omega-6 — in connection with the regulation of inflammatory processes and metabolic stability.

Mental health and the brain

Genetic features of brain function: memory and concentration, individual profile of mood and emotional regulation, susceptibility to neurodegenerative changes, and cognitive stability.

Sleep, stress and recovery

Genetic features of sleep architecture, chronotype and predisposition to its disorders - insomnia, apnea, snoring. Individual stress reactivity and the body's ability to physiological recovery.

Cardiovascular system

Genetic factors of cardiovascular risk: predisposition to hypertension, arrhythmia, heart attack and varicose veins, features of lipid metabolism, markers of systemic inflammation and aerobic potential.

Sports and movement

Genetic characteristics of muscle function, aerobic potential and VO₂max, susceptibility to injury, and characteristics of nutrient absorption critical for recovery and condition of the musculoskeletal system.

Digestion, immunity and metabolism

Genetic features of the gastrointestinal tract, immune response, and metabolic processes: how the body absorbs nutrients, regulates inflammation, and maintains internal balance.

Skin, hair and appearance

Genetic features of skin and hair condition: susceptibility to photoaging, acne, dryness, sensitivity, and other changes associated with genetically determined features of metabolism and protective processes.

Allergies, intolerances and tastes

Genetic characteristics of food reactions: predisposition to lactose intolerance, gluten and other food triggers, individual characteristics of taste perception and the body's reaction to individual substances.

Cancer risks

Genetic factors associated with susceptibility to cancer. The test results are not a diagnosis or prognosis, but data on genetically determined characteristics that should be considered as part of a preventive approach together with your doctor.

Who is the Apixmed Prism DNA test relevant to?

  • For those who want a test genetic profile in a specific health area — without unnecessary data and without the need to cover everything at once.
  • For people who already have laboratory test results and want to supplement them with a genetic analysis in the direction where there is a question.
  • For those who start with one test and want to be able to expand their profile later — based on the same DNA sample.

The results of the Apixmed Prism DNA test are not a diagnosis or a substitute for a doctor's consultation. The report provides a genetic profile by health area — data that complements clinical evaluation and helps you make informed health decisions together with specialists.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Prisma test differ from genetic panel?
Prism test is a specialized report in one area. Apixmed Prism genetic panels combine multiple tests into one profile. If you are interested in a broader genetic overview across several areas, consider Apixmed Prism panels.
Is it possible to order other tests after one test?
So. Based on the same DNA sample, you can at any time order an analysis of indicators for any other test or panel of Apixmed Prism without re-collecting the sample.
Is it necessary to repeat testing if something in health has changed?
No. Genetic data does not change throughout life — test results remain relevant for a lifetime. To assess the current state of the body, the genetic profile is supplemented with laboratory tests and specific examinations, rather than being replaced by repeated genetic testing.
Can I order several tests?
So. You can order one or more tests from the 11 presented in the catalog at the same time. All of them are analyzed from a single DNA sample. If you are interested in several areas at once, we suggest considering our Wellness or Ultima panels. Or you can choose other areas at your discretion.
How long does it take to get Prisma genetic test results?
The standard processing time is 12–14 weeks from the moment the laboratory receives your sample. In exceptional cases, it may take up to 16 weeks. Once your results are ready, the report will appear in your personal account on the website.
Do I need a doctor's consultation after the Prisma test?
The Prisma report is not a diagnosis or a medical conclusion, so a consultation is not formally required. That said, genetic data works best alongside clinical evaluation — your doctor can factor in your genetic profile during an appointment or when interpreting lab results. The report includes a "Questions for your doctor" section with ready-made talking points to make that conversation more focused.
